Cherry Vanilla Matcha Recipe 🍒
Carolina RettigShare
Cherries and matcha is a combination we didn't know we needed – until we tried it. Grated cherries at the bottom, vanilla oat milk, a generous matcha shot and a pink, fluffy cherry cold foam on top. This recipe is just as beautiful to look at as it is delicious to drink.
Ingredients – 1 serving
- 4 g Zenzi Matcha
- Vanilla oat milk
- Grated cherries
- Ice
Cherry Cold Foam:
- 1 part whipping cream
- 1 part vanilla oat milk
- Cherry juice
Topping:
- Fresh cherries 🍒
How to Make It
- Add the grated cherries to the bottom of your glass.
- Fill with ice and vanilla oat milk.
- Whisk 4 g of Zenzi Matcha with hot water (70–80°C) until smooth and pour over.
- Froth the whipping cream, vanilla oat milk and cherry juice until light and fluffy.
- Pour the cherry cold foam over the matcha and top with fresh cherries.
Tips
The more cherry juice you add to the cold foam, the deeper pink colour you'll get. For an even stronger cherry base, mash the grated cherries a little extra before adding them to the glass.
Why Zenzi Matcha?
The naturally mild flavour of Zenzi Matcha balances the sweetness of the cherries and the roundness of the vanilla without overpowering either. Ceremonial grade direct from Japan – intensely green, smooth and free from bitterness.
